What cars maintain value?

What cars, have most of you people noticed, maintain their value significantly well? Is it usually luxury sedans? sports cars? convertibles? You name it, either the brand or kind of car, you're choice.

Thanks!, Just wondering what you guys thought

In my experience it's not so much the type of vehicle, but who makes it that matters the most. For example, VW's generally hold their value well, as do other German models such as Mercs and BMW's. However, many Classics hold their value or appreciate (I assume that's the opposite to depreciate? lol)

Economy cars hold their value better than luxury cars, though there are exceptions to every rule. Popular cars hold their value better than unpopular cars. Over 25-30 years old, cars that are reasonably well maintained hold their value, period.

If you own a McLaren F1, the value will, if nothing else, hold.

Classic cars is a whole different story. I'm talking about the common resale market, not collectables.

Id have to say anything like a classic rolls royce or duesenberg (ya know, jay leno's favorites lol)

classic mercury's stuff like that

its all about the condition of the car,

lets say you have one of the said cars above with about 1 original mile on the whole car engine and all, never rebuilt, and in mint condition
its worth a LOAD of money

im about 95% sure of everything I said there^^^

So why not say so in the first place? afterall, this topic can be about all sorts of cars, not just modern ones, as strange as it may seem!
