I've ridden in fifth generation Accords that had over 300,000 miles on them, and with proper care they drove almost as if they were brand new.
My car has almost 160,000 miles on it and it is in beautiful condition. Virtually no idle shake (it's about as smooth as my dad's 2001 V6 Accord), starts within two seconds of turning the key, and shifts very smoothly. Not once has it had a problem that would have prevented it from being driveable.
All it takes is proper care, and cars will last forever. I've had people tell me they couldn't believe my car was over ten years old. Then I surprised them even more by telling them how many miles were on it.
Just make sure the one you are looking at has been properly maintained. While good care can make a car last forever, poor treatment can run it into the ground at an alarming rate.
Any other questions you have about driving experience, etc. with a fifth generation I'd be happy to answer.
