Throw out bearing question

I have a 93 Ford Ranger splash with a 2.3 liter 5spd, she has about 68k miles on her. My question is however everytime I get too and past 4k RPM she makes a loud whirring sound and it also does it when I take my foot off the gas and let the engine brake. Could this possibly be a worn throw out bearing?

Is your foot on the clutch pedal?

lol no when I deaccelerate I leave it in gear to let the engine do the braking up until about 2-3k rpm (because my dad says to do so but my grandpa who used to race stock cars at Sunshine says which would you rather wear out, the brakes or the tranny?) but anyway it makes a loud whirring sound whenever I do it and when I am accelerating past 4k rpm.

I wouldn't worry...I've driven many 2.3l rangers...all auto's and 5-speeds...they all same to make the same noise that you describe.
