Im trying to figure out how to get two engines in my boss' Tiburon...hee hee!
Maybe I'll get that raise if I can do it....

Oh, for the record: Jaguar XJ-220. I might not win, but Ive always wanted to take one of those cars and just open it up to see what it can do.

panoz esperante 0-60 in 2.2 seconds, 0-100 in 4 seconds, so i would imagin that 1/4 mile is pretty quick

Okay, first, I have to wave the BS flag about the 2-engine Tiburon. That just makes no sense. A car with an engine in the trunk would be...an engineering nightmare.

About the guys who wanted the GT-40, that's actually one of 2 favorite cars, (along with the Jaguar XJ-220), but it's better suited to road/track racing. (Mid-engine, wide, squat). For the 1/4 mile I would want something along these lines:

1966 Shelby 427SC. Nitroused, Twin Turbo 427 Cammer engine. (1500HP?) Then, remove anything that isn't absolutely necessary.

For the quarter I'd take a new Viper SRT-10 if I wanted to go modern. 0-60 in 3.9. If I want to go old school I'd take a 1969 Charger with a 426 Hemi. They rated it at 425 horsepower but everyone knew it was well over 500. Another old school favorite is the 1969 Corvette L-88. 427 with aluminum heads and block, high lift cam, and 850 cfm carb. It was rated at 430 horsepower but they have been dynoed at over 560 horsepower.

Ok, I'm going to end this about the Tiburon. That car really does exist, I've seen it. However, it's not all that fast, it makes roughly 600bhp, so a fair amount of cars can beat it, albeit not stock ones. I also have to say that other similar cars exist, most recently a twin-engine Eldorado and another twin-engine Volvo 850(however, the 850 failed fairly quickly).
If I could choose any car I wanted to run the 1/4 in, I'd choose...hmm...well, it's a toss up between my brother's E30 325i that's been gutted of all unneccesary weight, an S13 Silvia, and a Ferrari F355, so I could hear a Ferrari at 8000rpm.

if it had to be an all engine car

there is nothing that will take this

a 2000 Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1

it has a 572cu (9.4L) big block

770 RWHP
683 RWTQ

0-60: 2.7 seconds (destroys any ferrari made)
1/4 mile: 9.55 seconds

all engine, nothing done to it at all

now id like to put a twin turbo on that or a huge shot of nos

there's twin turbo camaros and trans ams with the ls1 5.7 litre engine with only a cam and headers done to them that do 8 seconds

and the older mid 90's camaros, theres single turbo ones doing 7 seconds with no nos

imagine what they could do starting with an engine thats already 9 seconds

I stick with what I love & thats either my dead 3000 GT or a Celica, & I do prefer not to burn my engine out with nitrious as it takes a lot more maintenance then I'd like.
P.S. How about letting people say something without pointing out misspelled words or or anything else. This isn't a Spelling Contest last I checked, its a car forum, so stfu & talk cars not chimpanzee.

Thnx
Tyko

By the way, do you know the slightest thing about cars? Doesn't look like it.
