dodge intrepid

how difficult is it to replace a headgasket on a 94 intrepid 3.5 and is it possible to tell which gasket is bad and the the base price of the repair (cringggggggggggggggggggggggg)

Given how he asked the question, I doubt he's ever changed a Headgasket before.....therefore I'd suggest he doesn't attempt it by himself

no i wasnt going to attempt the repair my self but i wanted to get a ruff idea of the labor and the turn arond time on the repair

Your looking at a good 800$(CAD) easy for a HG job. I was quoted that by my mechanic, and he doesn't bullshit me on prices. That's if it's a simple headgasket, and you don't need to have the head machined due to warpage..or if it's cracked....or any number of other problems that could come from a blown HG.

(I ended up swapping that engine, then ended up doing the HG on the swapped engine anyways haha)

this is kinda funny, that just happened to my sisters car. one auto macanic(yeah i cant spell) said it would be 1200 and then we talked another guy down to 800.
