In the Market for a New Car

I'm in the market for a new car...

I'm stronger considering the Civic si with Nav...comes out to about 25k...so for that price, is that the best car to get?

It's one of the best cars you can get for that much IMO, but it depends on what you need a car for. Just as a regular daily driver with some power and good fuel economy it's fine.

Well I want a car I can push...How does it compare to the eclipse GT? Believe those are in the same price range...and the Nissan Z..that's also around the same price i believe...or am i wrong?

They are a bit more expensive than the Si but the GT has 60 more horsepower and the 350Z has 100 more...Fuel economy is pretty good on all of the cars though. The best way to figure out which one you want from all of those is to go out and test drive them. Also, if you want a car that you can push, try the Neon SRT-4, it's got the most power for its price range (oh my God I'm turning into newyorker ).

Speaking of tuning, is there a way to strengthen a car and keep it just as quiet? I'm new to that scene lol

Works for me...i gotta figure out whether i'd want to lease or finance the 06 si....it seems financing is a smarter move, but i'd wanna wait for the price ot go down a little.

The Si is a good daily driver car, you could also check out the Mustang GT, which I believe stickers at 15K. You're asking what is the best car you can get for 25K, but you didn't say wht you wanted. A Mustang GT would be a a lot more fun than say an Eclipse GT or an Si, but the Eclipse and Civic would probably be more feasible (sp?) as a daily driver.

EDIT: typo, Mustang GT stickers @ 25K, not 15.

That term "daily driver"...i'm not sure if I classify as one. I drive quicker than most and like to push cars. I was looking at the mustang GT and at first really liked it, but i'm not sure I like the interior, and i'm not sure I want an American car again.

What exactly would the civic si be classified as? Regular coupe, sports car? This is a very hard decision lol.

An Si is probably considered a "sport compact". Other cars to check out: Mazda MX5, Mini Cooper S, Pontiac Solstice, and the Saturn Sky. Not sure if the Sky is out yet, and I hear the Solstice interior is cheaphish.

I actually don't like the solstice..and the Sky has a 6 month wait lol.

The others I don't like the looks at all....mainly civic, eclipse gt, mustang gt or Z...if the Z drops in price, I think that would be my first choice.

You can buy an SRT-4 for a hell of a lot cheaper than 25k. One of my friends just bought an '04 stage 2 for 16k. They're great cars and are alot of fun. Stock forged internals are amazing as well. He runs on 20+ psi with no problems other than traction. Runs 12.9!
