drifting

ok i know alot of people saw the new f&f movie and think they can magically start difting ebrake slides and shitty turns follow. as fun as those are i want to know with a 2000 mustang gt stick whats the best way to drift going strait and drift while turning

heres something that will work if you do it right... when youre goin around your turn, in a decent gear to make sure youre in a decent powerband. when you get slightly in the turn, kick the clutch with your foot still holdin down the gas. your revs will jump up, and when you release the clutch, itle grab locking up the wheels causing it do slide for a moment, then floor it, and get those tyres a spinnin. just make sure you countersteer. ive known this one to cause a spinnout if you dontcounter in time.
or another way, kinda requires some balls. goin down the road, before the corner, have the car in a higher rpm, while letting it decelerate, throw the car the opposite way that youre going to go, then very quickly throw the car the other way (if you dont do it in time, youle probably drive off the road) floorin the gass which should cause the slide and countersteer.

meh

sounds interesting what about drifting sideways without turning just a guess but hand brake followed by dumping the clutch?

nah, no ebrake. decelearate, turn, accelerate. you ever watch any drift vids? if so, look at some real closely, and you can see what they do
