first supercar

what do u ppl think was the first true supercar, as in a car with such performance and everything else that makes cars great that it was clearly above any standard?? i mean u could use anything from a Duesenberg SJ to a Porsche 959 for this but i wanna see what u ppl think

could you count the Bentley Blower 6 1/2 litre Supercharger a supercar as that was an extreme car in its day (1920's) with 170hp on tap

Haha, that was an amazing machine when new, didn't get very good gas mileage though..

i dont think there was a problem with "gas" in those days lol

Lol, I would have to agree there.. but in todays standards it is quite high (can't seem to find it anymore, saw it on tv once).

I was going to say the Speed Six too. Ettore Bugatti called it " fastest lorry in the world" 6,597cc, 4 valves per cylinder, alloy block, SOHC, twin plugs, sideblow twin SUs, 5.3 CR, 180bhp@3500 rpm. On cam cruising speed 80mph.

thanks wally, all i came up with was that it had a 6.6itre engine with 175bhp
