who would win?

some country guy has been bugging me forever to race him, he drives a 71 chevy truck, i dono what kind of truck, but he seems to think its fast, it has 405 hp and weighs 5300 lbs he said, i drive a 01 celica gt with a cold air intake and an exhaust,he said if i loose id have to pay for his gas, which would be alot in that truck, so what do u guys think, and how much does weight really matter?

flat, straight road, probly will just be about a quartermile, he won't race on any curvy roads, lol, hmm wonder why, but yeah just a straight road basically oh yeah by the way the celica gt weighs just under 2500 lbs also

well i get that, i don't do illegal things anyways though, i woud only race him at a strip though, probly shouldve stated that before, but back to the question though...?

1/4 mile time calculators say he might run 14.6. You probably run 15.4 if you're good at driving. I'd call bullshit on his horsepower number, though.

Well it's easily possible if he's using a 350 or 454 like a lot of people have in those kinds of trucks..

14.6?????? how did you get that? how do you know what gears he has? stall converter? trans? i've seen trucks run 11s with less horse power.

is the truck 4x4 or 2?

the truck probably weighs less ... this truck is pretty big

Actually, I didn't bring it up, someone else did. But the facts are right there.

And I must be God, because this thread was started on April 27, 2006. Which really isn't that long ago.
