they've redesigned the headlights to sort of straighten them out on the facelifted model! id still have it anyway, 4 litre v8, very light car and the wheels look good too, its sort of a marmite car, like the bmw 7 series, you either love it or hate it

I think, as with the 7-series, they changed it for one sole reason......nobody liked it, lol. The tamer 7er looks much nicer, hopefully the Morgan does, too. You have any pictures?

I like that one best too, much more conservative. Somebody at work has one, a 740 I believe...or 735, it's the V8 anyway, twin spark I believe, too!

I already own my first one, this is my next...

1998 Ford Mustang Cobra Convertible, some of only 542 were made that year.

Running the 1/4 mile anywhere from 13.5-13.8 with a decent driver and good tires. My friend pulled a 13.6 from his with just some Nitto's, everything else bone-stock, with 305 horses and 300 pounds of torque.

That car/year is exactly is what I want, I just hope when I am able to buy it in a few years I can still find one of the 542 models in good condition, with only a few mods.

I disagre, Cliffy. While the previous 7 series was one of my favorite sedans, the '02-up 7 series saw increased sales. I've talked to a number of new 7 series owners that bought it BECAUSE they thought it looked better than the one Tru-Brit posted.

The 7 series got a recent redesign because it had been on the market a couple years. Remember that's about how long between each subtle redesign of the '88-2001 versions. WE may like those versions better, but in terms of overall sales, the new one is winning.

If I remember rightly, BMW facelifted the current 7-Series a couple of months after it's initial release in 2002 (or when ever it was), albeit a very mild one, due to it's controvertial appearence. There's been facelifts sinse then too I believe
