New "Fastest car, ever"?

I just read an article in this weeks Auto Express that there could well be a Veyron beater with us soon(ish). It's from a company called Barabus TKR, and has nothing to do with Brabus.....or TVR, lol. It's a Brit comapny and the car is and is said to be capable of 0-60 in "less than two seconds" and have a top speed of 270mph! It has a mid-mounted 7.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 1,005bhp. I guess only time will tell, but apparently it's gonna attempt the new world record in November when it attempts to break the 0-60mph, 0-100mph, 100-0mph and top speed records for a production car! Also, they're apparently working on a V16 version that will be even quicker!

I've never been too keen on Noble's, far to....Mondeo for me, lol. As for the TKR being Italian, it's the first I've heard of it, I was coming over all proud and patriotic there, too!

go to their website!
http://www.barabus.info/tkr.asp

heres a little snip from that page ive put a link to.......
"The car is to be made in Italy and the power plant is built in the United Kingdom. While the TKR is a true Italian supercar, the vehicle itself reflects a "best-in-practice" philosophy, where Barabus has incorporated superior components from around the globe in order to manufacture the best vehicle possible. The TKR utilizes ceramic brakes as well as numerous high technology pieces from companies located in Italy."

as for noble being "mondeo-ish" i understand as it does have the ford v6 and the model before with the park bench for a spoiler did have a ford turbo v6 with a mondeo gearbox!

And the Mk1 Mondeo saloon rear lights!

Although the top pic looks frighteningly photoshopped, I'm sure ya get the idea, lol. I remember telling a member of old that I disliked the Noble...he took offence!

The veyron isn't all about speed. The idea is that it is the ultimate in speed, handling, comfort and quality.

Judging by what I've read, the Barabus isn't just about speed!

I'm not so sure, I looked up the prices and the Veyron can rise to as much as 600,000 but starts at around the same as the Barabus does, whereas the Barabus is only 300,000, I'm not sure if that as much as it'll cost or if it'll rise at all!
