What year models idiot? a 1980 Corvette against a 2000 Viper? Maybe if you gave us a POSSIBLE scenario, such as what years both of them were, auto or manual, and yes there are Auto Vette's before anyone says something stupid to display their ignorance, then MAYBE you will get an answer. You can't just say oh, which will win.

Or maybe, if he didn't just join to cause trouble, he might like to start his own thread instead of hijacking this one!

Listen "Fly by newb" are you telling me you'll be here this time next year? . How about you read and heed what I wrote earlier. Anyway, you were asked to provide more info....that's not an instruction to spam this thread though!

Even though the chicken littles of the world want you to believe there is a huge oil shortage, it still isn't true. I can only speak of the portion of the country I live in, and specifically that I travelled in the last 24ish hours, but once again the price of gasoline is on the way down. I personally saw it as low as $2.36 a gallon this morning and the price is still falling, probably below $2 by the end of the year.

For anyone who wasn't paying attention in at least one other thread, it's called capaitalism. Free market. Supply and demand. Demand went up, the supply remained the same, so the price went up. Because of higher prices, demand went down, the supply remained the same, so now prices have gone down. The system works. God bless America.

It is pretty ingenious how the system works, sucks for the people but makes the oil companies billionaire's.

Good thinking. Maybe you should try moving to a socialist country and see how it works there. The oil companies, whether you like it or not, earn their money by providing a product that you and others desire. If you think they charge too much, I welcome you to drill your own well, build your own refinery and start producing gasoline and other petroleum products. That should save you some money.

Nobody makes you use petro chemicals, it is your choice. Wait a minute. How much does a gallon of milk cost? A gallon of Coke? A gallon of liquid laundry detergent? How about a gallon of freakin' spring water? Why aren't you bitching about those corporations/people becoming billionaires?

I know the answer. Because you'd rather follow the crowd like all the other lemmings and bitch about how how well the system works instead of doing something to make it, in your mind, work better. You want gas prices to go down. STOP USING IT, RIGHT NOW. If nobody bought it, the price would tank immediately.

Thats because not many people take that into consideration, and you don't buy $45 worth of coke at a time so it seems cheaper.

True, but people rely on fuel to go everywhere and do everything, no one walks or rides bikes anymore for God's sake. Me included, so until people think its reached an unbelievable high, then most likely no one will stop using it to get back at the oil companies, but bitch about it while watching them rob us.

You refuse to get it, don't you? You are not a victim. Nobody is robbing you. You voluntarily pay for fuel to drive your vehicle. Nobody has a gun to your head. You just want to bitch to bitch, so you can fit in with all the other whiners.

Hey, here's a fact for you. Although it is true that petroleum companies, specifically Exxon/Mobil are making record profits in real dollars, as a percentage of what it costs for them to do business, their proceeds are about half of what other major companies make. To put that in numbers, if you go to Store X and buy something they paid $10 for, you'll paid them $20. If you bought that same item from an oil company at the profit they make, assuming they paid the same $10 for the item, you'd pay them somewhere in the area of $15-$16. They're not ripping you off, they're giving the product away.

Get over it.
