Ant problem

It seems a colony of ants has decided to live in my car!

Last weekend I noticed some ants on the bottom of the doors (outside of the weather seals.) I sprayed those and cleaned them off and thought everything was fine. Apparently not. Last night as I went to get something out of the back seat of my car I noticed them crawling across the seat and down the seat belt slot. This morning I took the backseat out and found hundreds of them living underneath my seat. I killed them all and vaccumed the entire car out. I also sprayed all the doors with ant spray and left the car all day. Tonight I was out and I kept seeing ants in random places in my car.

I was wondering if anyone has had this sort of problem before; and if there is anything more I can do about it.

Also, I'd like to add that my car is kept very clean and I NEVER eat in it. I don't know what my car has to offer to the little buggers..

Well..it happened to my Cavalier from sittin for months, cept with spiders, wasps, and ants. I didn't publicize it on CF but I had to take out the carpet and clean everything out, thats why my seats were out too. Get some ant killer gel or those little things that they take to the queen or w/e. Most likely it will work, if not, up comes interior..

I would understand if the car was sitting maybe, but I drive it everyday. I googled the problem and most everything I found was cars that had been sitting outside for some time.

There has to be a reason they're comin in. Just put some ant killing gel in various places in the car that people won't come in contact with or where you find most of the ants comin from.

I just sprayed every entry point into the car down thoroughly with raid. I'm leaving the car sealed up overnight. Another thing is, there's no visible entry point. It's not like a house where you see a trail of ants up through the crack of the door.

Your car got owned.

Are you sure there's nothing in there they'd want? That sounds really weird :\

If there's something in there, it's not visible. I can only hope that the previous owner didn't leave something somewhere in the car to attract them all.
