I adore the new xk, though. Especially the xkr.

For a car absolutely loaded with luxury features and comfort, it weighs less than 3600 lbs. Compare that to the sl that weighs in excess of 4100 lbs for similar luxury amenities (if not less). I prefer the sl styling, though. Just looks more pissed off whereas the jaguar looks more posh. I still like it, though.

And for about the same money as a regular sl550, the xkr is faster.

I dunno, it'd be a close call for me, but I wouldn't get them anyways because ultra-luxury convertibles usually come with automatic transmission standard, as do these two.

I agree, even the electric window switches were from Ford, lol. As for Aston, I seem to recall them using two Ford V6 engines, side by side, as their V12, lol. I also seem to remember that two very well known car shows on TV both had reliability problems with certain models whilst on test (Vanquish I think)....PAS issues?

If I was buying a 110-250k car and it pieced out on me I'd be PISSED. And if I found out it was using ford parts I'd be even more pissed!

So if aston martin is losing money, ford is the only one to blame :\

I would say the Jaguar XKR for 07. i think its beautiful and plus, i like jaguars anyway. other than that, id just say up till i have 500 thousand so i cold get this instead. its the Barabus TKR. it tops off at 270 mph, and goes 0-60 in 1.67. and its cheaper than the Bugatti Veyron (VW), and faster too.
