Cars that need to be seen

Anyone know any cars that look way different/better
when seen in person? as opposed to pictures or other media

Id have to say the lotus elise/exige
because of just how small they are, I saw one parked next to a 427 cobra during targa and it was like half the size of that! pretty much sitting on the ground while driving

porsche cayman, even more rounded looking in real life

ferrari 599gtb, I cant prove this but ChrisV already posted his thoughts lol
I just think it looks amazing anyway

and ....

im out

there can only be so many, i dont see a huge load of nice cars around here myself

The Smart car looks a bit funny IMO...but when I was in downtown Paris for a day (flight transfer) just about every other car was a Smart lol...

There aren't that many nice cars around here...can't think of any cars right now lol.

i think it looks the same, from the side anyway!
to me, anything made in the us would be nice to see, like the other day i saw a ford gran torino like the one on starsky and hutch! amazing sight (and sound), took up alot of road space aswell, had to park on the path to be clear of the road!

Yes, I totally agree. I wasn't that impressed by the pics, but seeing (and hearing) it in person is much better.

Oh, and I PDI'd one and drove it today. It is awesome! So torquey...more than I thought it would be. Its like driving an E46 M3 without the jerkyness and weird idle sound...

Rare in all parts of England, lol. I think that most larger US cars are alot nicer in the metal than in pictures, alot because of their proportions!

Heck yea, those are beautiful in real life.

As for my submission, the Porsche Carrera GT. I never really got too excited about it looking at the pics, but when I saw one for real, I thought it was gorgeous. And it was much smaller than I was expecting too.

I think the 996 Carrera looks much better in person than in photos. In pics it looks a bit boring, but once you see how the lines flow in real life, it's totally different. You can't really see the way the body flares out from underneath the roofline untill its right in front of your face.

BTW

I'd rather have the Porsche, in my opinion the CLS looks like a door stop

I saw 5 bmw 7 series all in a row, all silver last weekend...i had to slow down it looked so pro.

but my neighbor has an escalade and hummer, both in black with spinners....and i gotta admit they look pretty sick in real life...vs seeing them in those rap music videos.

The Camaro concept. I was surprised how much better it looked when I saw it at the car show.

I agree, when I first saw it on CF, I thought the front looked a bit funny, but in real life, it looed a bit more subtle...
