If I were to get a JDM H22A engine only

can I decide what kind of transmission I could put on it

wether it be auto or manual?

Yes, but keep in mind everything else in the car has to correspond with your transmission. If you get a manual, you'll need a clutch pedal as well as the shifter. Savvy? What car will this JDM H22 be going into?

Well, I got 0$ for it, but it's something I would like to put on my 94 Accord. I'm gonna go for an auto transmission since I feel it's cheaper and requires less maintenance.

Your packing B16 Nice

When you made the swap did you feel a big difference?

Huge difference over the stock super economic VX motor that was in it...? YES! Eventhough it's still a torque-less wonder.

94 Accord eh? My sister has a 95 EX. Awesome looking cars when done up right.

Torque less?

Do you mean that because it has high end torque and not low end torque?

So what do you guys prefer

low end or high end torque?

I would like to have low end torque since I would take off faster, but since I'm going for VTEC I'm stuck with high end.

Exactly, and having enough power to bring the front wheels up is priceless.
