I wouldn't be surprised if they released a 500+hp version to compete with the shelby gt500

Btw, this is off topic but I have to ask: Does anyone think chevy styling has gone way down the shitter? I mean wtf is this

That has to be the ugliest thing I've seen in a while, no matter which angle you see it from.

They almost got this one right until they got to designing its ass

And there is just no excuse for this

WHAT THE **** IS THIS THING ANYWAYS????

It's like a truck-shaped convertible...I know it is one of their "high end" models but god damn, who came up with that? A truck is a truck and has its intended purposes, a sports car convertible is what it is and has its intended purposes. Who thought it'd be a good idea to combine the two? I haven't seen too many of 'em thank god.

Anyways /rant

Cause they're so big it takes 16 shoes woven together to suit them each.

But yeah they're size 16...american.

I dislike the Camaro's and Challenger's wheel/rim setup. But that can be fixed quite easily, but might leave the wheelwells looking a bit empty.

I'd rather not call you dumb and just simply present you with some factual information.

CC: What kind of upgrades will you make, have you seen the engine GM is using in the Camaro?
Saleen: I hope I don't get in trouble with GM for saying this, but they're using a 6.2 liter 450 horsepower engine for the premium V8 in the 2009 Camaro and the base Corvette. The base V8 will probably be a detuned version of the same 6.2. So we'll just upgrade the 6.2 liter V8 to Saleen level specifications. We're going to upgrade the 6.2 liter V8 if we're given the legal chance by GM. Our base model should have around 485 horsepower, and expect our Extreme Supercharged Camaro to have over 600 horsepower.

Not saying official talk, but that is Steve Saleen talking. Take it as you wish and research the subject.

I hate chevies. And I must admit that is one of the most incredibly badass cars I have ever seen, and if I had enough money I'd buy one in a second. I wouldn't care if it broke down every friggin' day, just to be seen in a car like that would be worth it.

I kinda like the SSR too. It's dinstinctive, you can say that for it.
My beef with Chevy is not so much that their styling is bad but that their engines suck and their cars break down constantly.

You should really do some research before you make such general statements like this. I understand you drove a shitty cavavlier that always broke down. But dont make general statements about all chevys when you drove the next step above an aveo and also one of the worse performin chevys.

Ever heard of the LSx series engine toted as some of the best V8s every built. Take the LS7 for one. A 7 Litre V8 that revs to 7K rpms and makes 505hp and 470 ft-lbs of torque. Has a dry sump lubricating system. 6-Bolt Mains. The LS7 heads flow over 360 CFM and have 2.20 intake valves. The C6 Z06, the only car this engine is in, avoids the gas guzzler tax. And a TON of other high tech parts.

Also the S/C 2.0L in the Cobalt is a great engine. they have been puttin down (at the wheels)completely stock more power than they are rated at from the factory. Sure they have a weak link, the head gasket. But most engines do have a weak link. Change out the head gasket and CRANK the boost. They are making some awesome power with this little engine.

I have an old Chevy engine, the LT1. and this thing hasnt given me any problems. I hurt the tranny racing but the engine just keeps on chuggin. It makes great low end torque but doesnt mind revving to 6K.
You should probably do a little more resarch on the Chevrolet engines.

That is the HHR

Personally I love where GM styling is going.
I love the new look of cadillacs.
Look at the Solstice/Sky.
G6 is also a pretty sleek lookin cr especially for like 17k.
The new vette is gorgeous
I also really like what they did with the silverado/tahoe/suburban.

I see, well I stand corrected then, everything I had been hearing from Motor Trend and other sources said that 400hp would be the premium, just as well had Enthusiast sited that I wouldn't have questioned it so much. 600HP Saleen camaro, thats nuts. Won't be near as light as the Corvette but I dare say it would overtaked a Z06 easily.
