Jeez, I've been slacking

This is the newest model I've done. It's actually just a re-build of my old 1995 Chevrolet S-10 SS. Anyways, I completely made it custom. From the red and black interior, to the 26" wheels, to the lightly tinted windows, and..well, I'll let the pics do the talking.

ok, here's everything I did to this truck to make it unique.
Exterior: Tinted Glass, Clear Corners, 26" wheels w/ low profile tires, Shaved roll pan, shaved tailgate handle, Darkened tail/brake lights, red screen inserts (behind grill).
Interior: Red/Black color combo, PS2, Controler, 10" TV screen.
Engine: Wired, custom exhaust
Underbody: cut and shaved in order to fit exhaust.
Misc: painted bolts on oil pan/rear differential.

::Edited for pics::

Is that an exhaust pipe at the door??? Could be a doosie getting in and out of that truck.

You know what I'm going to comment about the 26" wheels...right? I'll leave it alone since it's just a model.

Nice though...

Ya, I know about the wheels. I bought them because they were cheaper than any other wheel. Plus, I didn't think they would really big THAT big. The reason for me putting them on this truck was because it was sitting around on my shop table with no wheel waiting to be revived. So, I got my lazy self to do something with it and this is what I have come up with. I just got sick of the truck and the wheels laying around on my table taking up space. Recently I've been fabricating my own custom mufflers (I think I have 4 glasspacks and 4 oval) out of straws and used up parts trees. Cant wait to see them on a car.

Oh, and yes Bav, that is the exhaust right by the driver's side door. I was very careful in the placement of that pipe making sure that when you opened the door (If you would've benn able to in the first place) it would clear. The only problem with getting out is jumping over the pipe down to the ground. hehe, yes, that would be a doozie.

Satty 101, cool model man. Now we need to work on your photography skills. No, I'm not trying to be an ass, I just want you to be able to show off your work a bit better.

Looking at the pics it seems that your auto focus does not like to pick up on the subject of your picture. Instead it is picking up on background objects like the woods and the log and the ground and the big black area behind your arm.

Does your camera have a setting for manual focus? I would recommend that you try to use that setting and focus the camera manually. Then you can make sure that you get the truck in focus and the log can remain fuzzy.

Another setting that may be useful is the micro setting. The micro setting may be shown as a flower silhouette on your camera and would be great for your engine bay picture.

Hope this helps out a bit. I look forward to seeing great pictures of your work.

We've gone over this already...but I know you wouldn't know that.

Get a new camera already, Satty!! My eyes are killing me!

no no no Bav, You misunderstood me. It's NOT old at all. But yes, the thing is a POS and didn't come with the macro (Micro as you said it) option. Also, it doesn't have a manual focus button. If it did, trust me, there'd be better pics.

Also Bav, give "theman" a break. I don't think he was a registered member at the time I explained why my pics suck ass. They won't be getting any better any time soon either. We're really broke as of now. I need to find my ass a job and soon. If I do, I'll save up for a new camera just for you guys.

Satty, try to use a flat black background and indirect lighting.when you take a pic. A simple black poster board or bed sheet, swing-arm lamp directed towards the ceiling or a fluorescent lamp. A tripod will help too or anything make-shift to steady the camera. (edit idiot) Try to get enough light as to where you don't have to use the flash.2 more

The only pic used with flash was the underbody shot as I was walking back to the computer to post them.

I will try the sheet idea of yours aswell. I usually rest my arms on something very sturdy and somthing that won't move. Otherwise, I keep the camera on the same suface as the model.

Many. I think there was about 5-6 threads with my models on this site, and a few others on www.automotiveforums.com <---I rarely go there now. Haven't been there in quite some time.
