You have way to much time on your hands to come up with this

I have heard if you use certain types of grain alcohol that a regular combustion engine will run on it...however I am not sure what kind of performance you can expect and I wouldn't try it unless you don't give a sh*t about your car

Some drag cars run on gasoline, but it's expensive and they're tuned especially for it. Some alcohols have sugar in them, don't they? That'll probably mess your engine up.

Why would you want to change it? You can get smashed and fill your car with the same stuff lol.

Theres a big difference between methanol (used in drag cars) and ethanol (beverages and mixed with gasoline). Gas stations nowadays are already putting ethanol in gasoline. When they started doing it in select gas stations here in PA, I noticed my performance and fuel efficiency plummet. Methanol however is used in many high performance cars because its basically really high octane gasoline. Its not as flammable as gasoline, so therefore it can withstand high temperatures and crazy advanced timing without pre-detonation.

Ethanol is increasingly used as an oxygenate additive for standard gasoline, as a replacement for methyl t-butyl ether (MTBE), the latter chemical being difficult to retrieve from groundwater and soil contamination. At a 10% mixture, ethanol reduces the likelihood of engine knock, by raising the octane rating. The use of 10% ethanol gasoline is mandated in some cities where the possibility of harmful levels of auto emissions are possible, especially during the winter months.[1] Ethanol can also be used to power fuel cells and to produce biodiesel.
