Record breaking weather?

You may or may not know that the UK has suffered some extreamly bad weather today/yesterday (Any Brits will know.....unless they don't go outside and have weather proof houses, lol), infact it's supposedly the worst for 17yrs...Now I remember the weather in 1990 (or there abouts) and as such I recall literally being swept off my feer, lol....so I'm skeptical. Today has been a nightmare though, especially for thoughs wanting to travel anywhere by public transport. I certainly had my work cut out for me on the trains....I ended up being stuck at Vauxhall station today dealing with irate passengers! There were in excess of 30 trees reported as falling on our rail network along! The following news report explains this in detail. I'm not sure if it updates aytomatically so appologies if you are reading incorrect info, lol. Thoughts go out to thoughs who have lost loved ones....

Clicky

I'm not sure whether this is how we can expect things to be at this time of year in the future....They recon we'll have snow next week, lol

It was mayhem everywhere on the roads yesterday, at least it's sunny and calmer today.

I can't say we had anything that bad...just record-breaking temperatures, both cold and high, inside of two weeks.....from +5C to -46C

Crazy weather. It's finally now just getting cold here. The weekend before last I went golfing in a T-shirt and shorts, it was insane. We still haven't recieved any real snow, just a few dustings that were completely melted within a few hours. At least nobody is getting hurt from the weird weather here though.

with all this bad wind still going around in the uk, a couple of days a go, a cargo ship ran aground 5miles out to sea! what i find funny is, people are scavenging off it, but what you take, you have to declare it too the police otherwise (if you dont do it within 28 days) it would be classed as stealing!
ive been to the site and ive declared myself a couple of boxes of wine! i wasnt one of the lucky ones who nabbed about 50 BMW motorbikes or a couple of 4x4's!!!
clicky here!

I heard about that. The Police clearly weren't quick enough, otherwise the wine would definately have been taken before you arrived, lol.

him, along with the 20+ crew declared it abandoned! they were rescued by Royal Navy Sea King helicopters from the local air force base near plymouth!
(RNAS Culdrose, 80 miles away)
similar to this one.
