Door Chime Disconnect

How the f*ck do you disconnect that annoying ass chime when you open your door with the keys in the ignition, anywhere I should look? I looked in my Haynes and nothins really in there about it. Any suggestions?

Remove your key lock cylinder, and remove the plastic piece that is on it. It just snaps off. Should be black or orange, with thin copper strips on it. Reinstall your cylinder and you're good to go.
( I guess you are talking about your ranger)

Does it continue even if the keys are out of the ignition? Usually the bells will only sound if the keys are in the ignition as a way of warning you that either you have left the keys in the ignition, or you have an open door. Either way, is it really that annoying for you? lol

Have you checked your owners manual? I removed the chime from the truck here on the farm(thing spends a lot of time with the door open, so it gets annoying fast), it was just a little "module" under the dash. I found the information in the same section as the fuses in the manual.

Disclaimer: I know not all vehicles are the same, I'm just offering my suggestion.

It's ok. It was to do with fixing/dismantling something so I thought it would fit better in here!
