Exclamation Please HELP hard to shift when car is cold

I have a 2000 Eclipse GT

when the car is cold it is had to shift. I have had the shift cables changed as well as a rebuild trans and a new clutch..

Please help

Just curious, did they clean the pivot points on the trans linkage, they are nasty for oxidation. Also what did they use for trans fluid, and what do you consider cold, -10F, -20,
By the way was it hard to shift before you had this work done, the pivots on the shifter are also known to "tighten up". If you know how, pull the cables off the trans and try shifting, if it is still stiff, I would look at the shifter pivots inside the car. ie remove the console. They come from the factory "dry" In order to prevent a build up of dirt that causes this problem. A little sanding on the pins helps. WD40 is a quick fix but will only come back and haunt you later when the dust builds up around the same area
