power steering problem

I have a 2003 Santa Fe. This week the power steering has been making a noise after driving on long trips, but does not do it all the time. Opened the hood today and looks like the power steering fliud id leaking out the top of the reservoir. I checked the cap and it is on tight. Any thought?

It could be a seal in the cap that is perrished or similar. I'm assuming that you found that the level was very low too, given your problem?
