351w transmission

got a hold of my gramp's old work truck. its a mid eighties f350custom dualie with the big boxed in back thing. engine is a 351w and it has a 4spd trans on it right now. my uncle and i are in the process of building an old rat rod, and we plan on using the 351 in it, but seeing as how we're building a tbucket, theres not too much room in the body for the four speed and the extra clutch pedal and what not so im looking at puttin an auto on it. what i need to know is what your opinion is as to what transmission i should use. moneys kinda tight, so no tremecs or anything lol. thanks.

Go buy a C-4, you can get'em dirt cheap...even performance rebuilt units.
