Lookin for a car.

I'm lookin to switch from a pick up to a car that I can upgrade as I want. I would rather not get a civic because everyone in my town has one and I would rather not have just the basic starter car that everyone owns. Im not really that knowledgable about imports so I was wondering what a good car to get that wouldnt cost me a fortune to buy would be?

How can we possibly help you if you don't help us? You failed to list any qualities other than "cheap, non starter car" that your looking for. Price is a huge piece of information that we on the other end can't fill in for you. Information as to what size of car, kind of car, transmission preference, etc. would be very helpful and is very much needed in order to better help you. So please do us a favor and help us help you. Basic info is all we need.

:edit:
Earshot- how do you know he's looking for a fast car?

1994 is actually the year they went to the DC2 style. High theft rate for them, at least in my area

yep .. they did switch to DC2 in 94.. but I never buy the first year of anything.. give them a time to fix the bugs (if any).

and yes the integra has topped the list of top 10 of most stolen cars many many times. in fact some punks tried to steal mine less than 2 months ago.. broke the ignition and my windshield whiper controls and other stuff.. but luckily i have a starter imobilizer.. so they didn't manage to take it.
