That comes out to $2.05 (Canadian) here...but stuff there cost the same in Euro as they do here in Dollars. Here regular costs $1.00-ish. Diesel is about the same.

Is benzin like the lowest octane you can get? What's super? Why did benzin go up so much, and super went down?

No I just ran it through Google translations, and it says "gasoline".

BTW Coronet, I got the same number. Either that's BS, or people here are complaining too much lol.

I think you've done it completely wrong. 2.9 equates to $4.16US so thats $4.16/litre. Then there's 3.785 litres to a US gallon - $15.78. That's more than what we pay in England but the roads over in Germany are way better.

IIRC a Euro is worth more than a dollar, and a liter is more than a gallon, so there is no way it's less over there than it is here.

EDIT: I meant a liter is less than a gallon.

I wasn't talking about the ~$1.15/gal US, but I was talking about the $15.80 that he had at the bottom.

Well at least it's still better than catching the bus, I just wish the roads here are as well surfaced as Germany's. And why is Benzin twice as expensive as Super?? I think that's a pricing error from that petrol station.

Maybe they pay less in other taxes, so it sort of evens out...I can't understand why Germany has such high gas prices, when they produce some of the best (and most gas-loving cars)...

I still think it's diesel.... or maybe it has less additives or something. I don't know. or maybe more additives. I just called and asked my mother who is from Germany and she confirmed it's not diesel. I think she's wrong too lol.

Pretty sure the signange is wrong. Benzin is gasoline, diesel is usually called gasoil or something like that. Benzin should be the cheapest, comparable to our 91 or so octane in N.A.
