low on fuel

my mazda truck is low on fuel ,i went to start it and it fired and then died, after a few trys i got it going,with reving it alot until warm,i took off went around the block it almost died again i floored it and kept it going,in time to arive back home.i think it might have moisture in tank,does methalhydrate work(with full tank)or could it be fuel filter?.......

if its low on fuel maybe you should put some in it...... just a thought
