Yay I have a company car (now the everchanging company car thread)

Went to work on Friday, and got a little surprise. They asked me to go pick up a car at a shop, and said that it would be my company car (use it for airport pickups, shopping runs, whatever). Went to the shop and found a 2002 Porsche Boxster S

Brought it back to the lot and took a pic, sorry its not clean yet

no its not just in someone's driveway

And you can drive it any time? What about insurance? Gas?

If you can drive it any time, that kicks ass.

Just for work errands, but they happen on a pretty frequent basis. If it sells I will drive something else, we have 11 Porsche's in stock haha. If not, I can have an s2000, z4s, mini coopers (s models as well), jags, audis, the lot

Thats pretty cool, if I was rich or not doing my career (ie younger), I would get a job like that. Reminds me of when I was lotboy at an Aston Martin/Bentley/LandRover/Jaguar dealership. Most days got to run at least a few errands/customer pickups. Will never forget driving the Vanquish twice, both times about 20 minutes.

A buddy of mine does stuff like that for a ford dealership and he got in trouble one day and had to go see the owner of the dealership. Well after talking to the owner he was making small talk and asked him how the Ford GT was doin and he said well shit I never drive it it just sits. Then the owner goes hey Ive got a new job for you, once every two weeks you have to take the GT out and get it a little excersize and make sure everything is in working order.

I didnt believe him until he showed up at my work in the GT, its pretty cool and the funny part is, the owner pays him 40 bucks on top of his wages everytime he takes it out.

I would pay the owner to drive it, he wouldnt have to pay me haha.

A Porshe Boxter?! Sweet! Your boss must love you very much.
I wouldn't mind driving around for chores if I had that one for my company car!

The car isn't his. He should be comfortable wit the car's limits; never know when you're going to have to beat a yellow light or jump over a train lol.

I wanted to be nice to the children but **** it (<--- that got censored i bet)

With the departure of the Type-R and Boxster S, its time for a newcomer...we are still working out the kinks (first gear is totally bombed so I have to start in 2nd all the time, but its still fun). Took it home for a little bit after work today and drove dad around, mind you without first gear even, he almost shit hes still yelling at me lol

I even put in my own Nardi shift knob for the time being.

And a fun one

S2000s are gay.

Honda needs to man up and realize such a small engine at that level is ridiculous for the street.

WHY WHY WHY would you put a 2.0 then a 2.2 in your sports car. Its ridiculous. There are no displacement restrictions for the street.
