Question on Roll Bars and Cages

I found a few rollbars for the MSM that I am looking at and I noticed that some are SCCA approved and some arent, and I just wanted to see if anyone could clarify for me the differences between the two.

I was talking to a buddy of mine and he started bringing up terms like 4 point and 8 point, and telling me that some bars are bolt-in and some are welded in, but as far as I was aware only some rollcages were welded in, I thought all rollbars were bolt-ins. I also saw some "bolt-in" harness bars for some rollbars, and I havent looked much into cages, but do they come with harness bars already or those are optional?

Just need to get de-newbed on this whole topic, thanks.

If you'd have been patient you wouldn't have needed to bump this.

Thanks captain obvious. Knowing how slow the mods work here, I thought it would be helpful

I think you've got a bloody cheek....It's blindingly obvious whenever anybody signs in what threads they have yet to read, they don't need to be on the top of the pile all the time. I'm here almost every day, I'm sorry I can't be here 24/7 so as to avoid 'bumping'...
