Oh...a Knight...sorry.

Vanessa Mae I've never heard. I'll have to find some and I may have to choke on my words...but still...there are many English bands that have no accent when they sing. How about Ozzy for one...

Charlotte Church? Oh...she's quite the lovely young lady. I have a few of here albums...no accent.

Wahoooo...I got an Island..na na na na na

Ok, fuel prices on Cliffy Island will be the lowest ever..obviously...although I'm thinking about taxing all the visitors at around 27.589%....

As for fuel prices in the UK....I think they are set to go up yet again next week!

good job you dont run your car on milk then! Milk is cheaper than petrol here, but that wouldnt be to difficult.

You know milk is alotmore expensive than you think in the usa, you have to give all those farmers huge subsidies out your tax's to make it that price and i thought that the usa was all about choice!

Well that is how things are. Trade with oter countries means that we have to buy things from them rather than produce them ourselves (even if we could do it cheaper) because we are trying to keep a happy medium. The only time that Subsides come into the picture is when we want to incourage farmers to produce a good. It is like holding the carrot out to lure the horse. The size of the subsidie has nothing to do with the milk problem at all.

The problem has to do with an inncident that happen 3 years ago. Many cows were out there for slaughter...as a result, too many cows not enough food. Farmers were forced to kill the cows, the price of beef whent down drasticaly b/c too many cows were available. Like Newton said, "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." The effect we are feeling right now is the result of too few cows and the unchanging demand for milk, not some "taxes" as you put.
