Smudge under clear coat issue & dent from inside panel

Hello everyone ,,

Here are my two problems
First a tech had slipped with a ratchet and hit the under side of my fender
I now have a small but very noticable dent .
The darn thing looks like a pimple ...

Any suggestions on how to fix such a dent with very Minimal removal of paint..
Keep in mind this is not a inward ding ,,, but ******d ,,,

and my bigger concern is sumudges under the clear in a few areas
two look like clouds one sort of looks like a water stain on paper

How much clear do I need to remove in order to fix this

Did I mention this is a rear fender off my New Harley ??
I did the dealer thing ,, called Harley etc ..they all push the blame and just aggravte me more.. Replacement of the custom fender is over 700.00 I know this can be fixed for less

So i'd rather take on the task myself .. If I fail ,, well then I guess i'll be looking for another fender ..

Here are pictures of the smudges .. let me know if there clear enough

I would appeciate ANY help I can get on this

OH yea one other thing
As temperture changes so does the imperfections ..
Sometimes there 100% gone
then if it humid they appear
Sometimes just let it sit in the sun at they appear ??

Must have been painted by one of those guys who wore a Mood Ring

Thanks for any Help

Rick

The reverse dent should be an easy for for your local paint-less dent removal specialist.

As for the smudge... are you sure it is under the clear? I'd recommend going over it with a good grade of cleaner/wax.... if that doesn't do it try wet sanding it with 1500 then 2000 grit. You will then need to compound and polish back out.... you may be better off buying a new fender.... the repair would mean sanding until the smudge is gone and if you go through the clear, the graphics will need to be resprayed (at least in the area where you go through the clear), other wise if you just spray clear back over it you will get a weird effect that our shop refers to as a "butthole".

Hope this helps, just let me know if you need more info.
