93 pontiac sunbird losing antifreeze

We have a 93 pontiac sunbird. About 6 months ago it overheated on hubby on his way home from work. First tried thermostat and when that didn't work we had it towed to a shop and it was the heater core. Prior to that we had replaced the radiator. It still run hot occasionally and often loses antifreeze but not on the ground under the car. We have also changed the thermostat housing cap with no success.

Any ideas what could be the problem? Thank you for any help you can give!

intake/head gaskets. What engine is in it?
