Now that's just stupid. There were no Miata's in the '80s. '90 was the first model year (available fom July of '89). Right from the start, the Miata was supposed to be a modern day version of cars like the Lotus Elan, and have been successful sports cars and racing cars.

Are you even old enough to remember the Miata's introduction and how successful it was?

1. Yes it is, just as he is.

2. He claims to be 14, so the answer is no. I however still remember my first drive in a Miata. August 1989, Austin, Texas just before going to the desert for the first time. What a hoot, I scared the crap out of the salesman.

I love how this thread started, then came the flames

I wanted to get a miata very much, but i was in the market right at summer and they all magically vanished. O well, my FC will have to do for now.

Thumbs up Hey

Just wanted to say thanks for not being an arogant jerk about your car, its a refreshing change. I drive a 96 ford probe SE, and i think it handles pretty well however. if youve never driven one it might change your perspective on how fords handle. (i switched out my stock wheels for some GTs, they might be the reason for the better handling)

WELL, on the first topic of the thread... although it isnt much...

in my dorm there's a miata obviously setup for autocrossing or something similar. i can see the rollbars through the rear window, and the owner peeled out... it's got some crazy power... NO idea how much though. not even a range.

just saying there's other people who see worth in the miata.

Well stated sir! I applaud your wit and wisdom, furthermore I look forward to reading more. I concur with your siggy and add that of the two, Robert is far more of a 'writer' than his son, Peter. Happy Holidays.

........Best Regards, Ruben Alonzo Aceves.

Sorry Hobo, this thread may be 'almost 2 years old' or whatever but people have posted up until a few months ago, therefore it hasn't stayed 'dead and untouched' that long, plus this thread may actually be useful. Your being a little hard on the mods.

Open your eyes and read the other thread. I won't rehash it here.

I understand Hobo, but the only point that other thread may have had (if someone chose to take it that way) was 'How NOT to pull a car'.
