Electrical problems with Toyota corolla '95

Having trouble with starting the car. I have had the starter rebuilt last year
and it is intermitten but becoming more cronic now. If I turn on and off the
alarm sometimes that helps. It sounds almost as if the battery is not strong enough but I have had that checked and it is fine. someone mentioned a solenoid ? do i need to replace one or both? aren't there 2 in this car? Please help need to get it fixed without spending a bundle.

You should have probably posted this in the technical help section. Also it would help to introduce yourself(not that I care) but other people might flame you for not doing so.
