280ZX in dire need of help!

I have a fuel leak. The line that runs from the tank to the front of the car (not quite sure what component it leads to) is leaking seriously. The car is idling at 800RPMs instead of 1000, and it seems to sputter. It also is having trouble starting. What should I do? Please, I know I'm a newbie, but I need help.

The car is a 1983 Datsun 280ZX non-turbo. It has a 2.8 liter OHC engine.

Before tackling the idleing problem, fix the leaky fuel line or there may not be a car to fix the idle on (burned out cars don't idle well)

replace the line if you are mechanically inclined and have a place where you can work safely without causing fires. Take all precautions to avoid fuel spillage @ the tank and other wise. If you dont want to tackle, have it replaced.
