99' Zx2 Casette Problems

It will not take any casette. It just pops out. How can I fix this? I am a DIY person. Is it the motor or sensor or what?

Well as I said earlier in another posting, we're not much about electronics on here...more about cars. BUT, there are no "sensors" in a cassette deck that I know of. Just a lot of mechanical linkage that is made of very thin sheet metal and lots of parts including fine and small electronics. Is you deck the type that you have to pop the tape in all the way yourself (totally manual) or does the deck tape it by itself with a little pressure and then the system is fully motorized? If it is digital are there any ERR codes on the display? Other than that, sounds like if something is not stuck in there or obvious, it's time for an electronics shop.

It is motorized. Also, I think it was from having a tape sitting half way in and half way out (when not listening) all the time. See, I think that because the tape would wiggle about every 10 seconds.

You mean that the tape would wiggle every ten seconds with a tape half way in and half out? Like the unit was trying to determine what it was going to do with the tape? If that is the case, why did you not remove it? I have had a tape half in and half out in on of mine for ages, but no harm done. BUT that unit I am talking about is non-motorized. All I can think of to try is pull the power fuse to the radio and put it back in, maybe it will reset????
