Reverse lights stay on constantly

Car: 2000 Toyota Camry CE

I have a problem with my reverse lights. They stay on constantly, whether I am in drive, neutral, park or reverse. Rarely, they stay off contstantly too, even in reverse. Any suggestions? Thanks.

From your VERY brief description it sounds like a mis-adjusted or defective neutral safety/backup light switch. Cross your fingers it's just mis-adjusted because a new switch for your car costs $300+. That is not a misprint, $300+.

Do you ever have trouble starting the car where you might have to wiggle the shifter to get it to start?
