biggest doesnt = better

i wouldnt go larger than 17 inch, hell 16 is large enough, if you stick to big on from stock size, you will slow the car down

get real light 16 inch rims

The biggest wheels that I’ve seen on an Eclipse are 18”s but the 18”s don’t seem to have filled the arches right up to the edge. 19”s with rubber band sized tyres so that you can’t even see the top of the wheels behind the arches, let alone the tyres would look nasty though. That’s how I picture an Eclipse with 19”s and lowered suspension. If you didn’t get the suspension lowered then obviously the ride height would be higher than standard. To get that look that I mentioned above might even require some work on the inside of the archers. I agree with what Arthur said about having sensibly sized wheels. You should be okay if you keep the increase in rolling radius within 10%. Much more than 10% and the speedometer won’t be as accurate as it should be as well as the acceleration being slower. It’s also pretty hard to tell when super low profile tyres need filling up unless they have special valve caps that I’ve heard of. Apparently they turn red when the tyre pressure needs topping up.

He asked what the BIGGEST wheels are that can be fitted to an Eclipse (without rolling the arches) so I told him. I also said that I agreed with what you said in the first post that I sent to this topic. You've now repeated yourself in this topic twice... Do you want to repeat yourself for a third time, or leave this thread alone as there's nothing else to be said?
