87 Ford Tempo Grinding in 1st and reverse

Hi, I was wondering if anyone would know if the occaisional grinding ( mainly when the weather is warm ) would be my clutch or could the transmission be going? The car runs great, but I do have a concern about this one thing. It has been doing it off and on for the last year without any real change. I did try adjusting the clutch but it seems as though it is at the end of adjustment. Any suggestions?

Hit second gear before you hit first and see how that works out for you.
