Transmition fluid on a jetta

Hey,
Does anyone know how to check the transmition fluid on a 96 VW Jetta without putting it up on a lift and takin out the drain plug...there is no dip-stick.

I imagine we're all supposed to guess what kind of "transmition" this Jetta has, aren't we?

Here's a question for you. If you edited your post to fix a spelling mistake, why didn't you correct the spelling of "transmition"? Just wondering. Make that two questions. Who's car are you working on? Oops, three questions. How many horsepower does the "Nismo oil cap" add to your NX?
