I'll take the other 99.9% no probs. Crikey cobber the sheep have just been let loose by a drongo kangaroo in the back paddock and strike me pink if the koalas aren't drier than a dead dingos donger. Better go find me cork hat and thongs.

Americans? Aren't they the ones who used to light cigarettes in the Vietnam bush so the viet cong could home in on them?

The all-new F6 270. A 4-litre turbo-charged, intercooled, 24-valve double overhead cam six. The highest torque output of any production six ever built in Australia and one of the most powerful in the world. Through partnership with Prodrive and their mastery of turbo technology across F1 and World Rally, the development of our high performance turbo-charged FPV will change performance cars forever. We created a new engine with dramatically improved cooling and induction. The 50% larger air-to-air intercooler and dual air intake system significantly reduces intake pressure into the turbo's compressor - allowing it to work more efficiently...and effectively.

The result. A fully engineered performance-driven power generator. Armed with double overhead camshafts and 4-valve aluminum cylinder heads, the F6 270 produces its maximum power of 270kW at 5250 rpm. However, the real story is torque. All 550Nm on tap from just 2000 rpm and remaining constant all the way through to 4250 rpm.

At time of launch, the highest torque output of any production engine ever built in Australia. Even more staggering is the engine's ability to produce 80% of its maximum torque at 1500 rpm and over 98% at 1750 rpm. Total Performance meets the turbo.
A S7 isnt stock? I really dont understand this. His FPV has 4 doors from what I can tell so the CTS-V is definately in the catagory. As would the Viper, the new Z06 would slaughter it, the XLR-V, etc.

I'm pretty sure that anyone who types in all caps is a cillage idiot. Come on scare crow, the caps lock is 3/8 of an inch away from the letter 'A', so turn it off. Secondly, don't copy and paste, it just makes you look even more stupid. the ford typhoon may have that insane torque, but the new mercedes puts out like 400 ft lbs at 1000-2000 RPMs.

This guy's just a dumbass with some homeland pride. he just won't listen to facts. I think what he's trying to say is that the GT-P is the fastest production car, last i checked, the S7 isn't a production car. but even then, the Viper tears the GT-P a new one.

These KW and Newton Meters are pissing me off. Anywhos, I see how Vwhobo refers to him as a "village idiot". I did'nt think it was possible to defame an American car while supporting another American car simply because its only in your country. Haha, this needledick needs a life..
**EDIT**
Haha is it me or do the GT, GT-P and, F6 Typhoon look like the exact same cars with different engines. And the Pursuit and F6 Tornado look like the same truck with slightly different styling?

I think what he is trying to say is the turbo six is a quantum leap for Ford, if not just in Australia. The shell it goes into is a family car (we refer to these colloquially as taxis) not a sports orientated vehicle like the 8.2 litre viper, etc. It is not intended to be in the same league as the mercs and is priced accordingly, so it is accessible to Joe Average.

There is no doubt it will filter into the US market, if it hasn't already done so and will cause some interest.

In so far as comparing to the viper GTS, you could compare the Australian 427 Monaros which had success against said car and others including and Lamborghini Diablo GTR, Porsche Supercup GT3 and Michelotto 360 Ferrari. It shows that bolting in displacement gets results, but hardly an engineering feat.

No we are too stupid and lack the skills required. It's hard to use tools when ones knuckles are sore from gravel rash and no opposable thumb. We just wile away our time eating berries, tree roots and edible grasses.

Hopefully this information will feed your obvious insatiable desire to learn about primitive cultures. Obviously you have been elected as delegate by your tribe to solicit the information on behalf of your entire homogeneous nation. I must admit, on behalf of all Australians, I find it odd that a person with your obvious superior skills and intellect, endemic in your culture, would ask such an obvious question, unless of course it was a rhetorical statement.

As a reciprocal gesture could you advise, based on your first contact with us, if it's true that Americans have a universal sense of humbleness, intellect and wit? If so did it evolve in isolation or are there other peoples out there with similar manifestly big heads?

You were wrong then, too. A production car is one that is in series production by a factory. Whether that's 27, 100, 100,000 doesn't matter.

The ONLY time it matters is in FIA racing, where "production" figures have to be satisfied for homologation rules. SOme classes put that at 10,000, some put it at 100. But the fact remains that there are no actual numbers other than series production by a factory to count as a "production" car.

So the 100 McLaren F1s count, and the Saleen S7 counts.

We all come in for some stick and the US probably more than most because of it's high profile idiots that pepper the news. It's more a situation of the volume of exposure rather than ratio of dimwits per population.

People like Alpha Lobo only cement ridicule from other cultures. The odd thing is the USA is a melting pot of migrants, many of whom were the brightest and the best from their native lands.

If it wasn't for the Simpsons, South Park and Mike Moore much of the world (yes there's about 6 billion other people out there that do nothing) would wrongly think 90% Americans were all olive skinned slavic origin Jewish actor types with obscure Italian or Irish names who drink coffee non stop and have a trusty token homosexual or Black person sidekick with an ex president's surname to share secrets with. And it isn't us whose shovelling that sheit to the world.
