Engine To Fit An Escort

I've got a 95 Ford Escort LX with a 1.9L Engine. I'm looking for an upgrade, I'm thinking probably Mazda/Probe engines would fit. Help me out, I need to know if any other engines would fit. [/img]

Ford's cars have an amazingly large engine bay. I think that you'd be able to fit anything up to 2.3ish liters into it.

But, then again, it's a 95 Escort. Why waste your money?

I believe he asked what he could fit into the engine bay not for you to shit on his ideas. You could try maybe a mazda 4 cylinder turbo or maybe a V6 out of a ford Probe. I dunno dont know much about them.

Please point out to everyone who it is that "shit on his ideas". And what is the amazement with installing a Probe engine. Do you have any idea the fabrication that would have to be done to put a Mazda powertrain in an Escort?

1.I was well aware of that because they have been revived alot lately and I check the dates.
2.Why did I post? Because it was revived none-the-less so why not post in it?
