do you keep the speed limits?

i tell you sth: i cant imagine how you northern americans can talk about driving and owning sports cars while having that shiddy speed limit on every ways, or does that really matter nothing to you and you all drive as fast as you want?

i mean i cant even imagine how u guys can endure it to drive cars that can go more than twice the speed you are allowed to (officially.

perhaps this question sounds a bit nerdish, but i also heard by a friend that someone from Utah or sth asked how many accidents happen in the cities of germany when theres no speed limit and they all drive like 100mph....

so thx&grz to all of US:]

Honestly you get used to it after a while. Around the area I live, the speed limits are around 30-35-40. I almost never go above 50 on any of the roads. My car can do 100 after a little run but it's just not worth it to me to go 100+ on the shitty roads we have here. That and getting a speeding ticket would KILL me. My insurance is already 800+ for 6 months. I barely make that much money after gas at work anyways. It's really starting to piss me off. But I try to stick as close to the laws as I possibly can because I've grown up a lot in my driving since my car accident.

out here in suburbia, the speed limits are fairly generous - most roads have a 40 or 45 mph speed limit. i'll usually go 50, maybe 55 on one road thats pretty much deserted that goes to my house.

I talked to the cop at my school about the street laws, and you can be arrested for just about anything. If you create a screeching noise from burning out at a stop sign, you can be arrested. If you don't stop at that stop sign, you can be arrested. If you do 1 mph over, you can be arrested. it all depends on your previous offenses, how fast you were going, if you were a danger to others, etc. etc. It's a custom thing. There's no generic answer.

I generally don't speed until I get on the freeway, or on a private parking lot (thank you god, for making fry's electronics).

What?????? It's a 55-45 weight distribution, it's the RWD that makes you slide out, and if you can't control a powerful RWD car so much so that you're sliding all over the place, then you dhouldn't be driving that car at all.

Camaro weight distribution

I dont usually speed, but sometimes it pisses me off since most of the streets have 25 and some 30mph speed limit, I usually speed like 5mph over the speed limit, sometimes I go a little faster when I race

Having a fast car and not speeding is an exercise in self control. Having 280hp available on tap doesn't mean you have to use it!

Interestingly, the ones who call me a 'boy racer' are the ones who seem to have the speeding fines.

I go 5-10 over when I feel like it. But most of the time I am in no rush. Why drive faster than that?

Rus, you're out in the countryside, there's no cops out there.
