1985 Chrysler Fifth Avenue

I recently inherited a 1985 Chrysler Fifth Avenue from my grandmother and it has a problem that I need to fix. It cuts out while driving down the road between 45-55 mph and from 65-70 mph. The lower range while accelerating and the upper range while trying to maintain speed. If I keep my foot on the gas it is fine(most of the time), but that causes a problem because my speed is constantly increasing.

I have replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, altenator, coil, and the external regulator thinking it was an electrical problem. It seemed to make the problem worse, not better. I took it to a local mechanic and he said it was the lean burn computer.

What is this? How easy will it be to replace? Could it be an oxygen sensor problem not allowing the engine to get enough oxygen?

Thanks for your help.
