mercury villager thermostat location

where is it? in the the housing immediately left of the w.pump or in the one on top of engine (with the two hoses attached)?

follow upper hose from rad.

Usually it's the biggest housing, so whichever one's bigger, that's probably it. Most likely the one on top of the motor. You can always take off the hose and poke a light in there to see which it's in, that way you don't have to worry about taking apart the wrong one and having to get a new gasket.

It seems as though everyone has trouble finding their thermostats now days.
