click in tire

96 pontiac sunfire..when driving there is a clicking noise in the front left tire...I have changed the tire and no difference. The faster the wheel turns the faster it clicks. However i don't notice it ALL the time, its seems as though its only happening most of the time. This is what really confuses me.
Thanks!

my grandfather had a problem similar to that on his Tracker, turns out the weight used to balance the wheel was mounted on the inside of the rim, and was hitting part of the suspension. But i believe that was only when the wheel was turned sharply. I would take the wheel off and look around to see if there are any rotating parts that have obvious worn marks on them. Does applying the brakes effect it at all?
